Welcome

Capability Barn was founded by Malcolm and Wendy Fisher some 20 years ago.

This well-planned and beautifully executed garden

has been carefully developed, featuring a wide variety of trees, shrubs, herbaceous perennials and bulbs.

New features are continually being added

to this ever-evolving garden.

Malcolm and Wendy are very proud

that in May 2023

their garden was featured

in the Garden News feature:

Garden of the Week.

Planted with passion

Delighting through every season

Malcolm and Wendy Fisher are knowledgeable and passionate about plants of all kinds.

There are over 60 varieties of daffodils, both in the garden and in the greenhouse. In early April see brilliant displays of daffodils, tulips and hyacinths.  Fritillarias star in the wildflower meadow. Late April invites rhododendrons, azaleas and wisteria flowers and orchard apple blossom. Herbaceous borders are filled with Spring beauties - erythroniums, anemones, primulas and pulmonarias. Later in the season, by appointment, visitors can see lupins, delphiniums, hostas, and a range of more unusual annual and perennial plants
